I called Microsoft yesterday after trying to install the Beta2 and they gave me a second validation key. Neither work. I've read many posts on this subject but as of yet seen no resolution.
I've tried all the different methods of entering the key but none work.
Any ideas?
Thanks, John -- John at Free Design

I'm having the same problem. I downloaded Vista twice and have two different productkeys and neither will work. Any one have this resolved yet.

This now seems to be an issue that Microsoft is either avoiding or chose's not to correct. We are all willing to test and put our Beta machines up for testing but obviously they just don't care. O-well lets see how long it takes to correct this problem.......

This is what I found concerning this issue......
Tim Sneath, "Musings of a Windows Vista Technical Evangelist".Wednesday, September 21, 2005 2:02 PM tims PDC05: Product Key Problems Some people have experienced difficulties with activating the Windows Vista builds that we distributed at the PDC. Please accept our apologies for this; there's been a mismatch between the activation servers and the product key that was handed out. It's embarrassing - we screwed up - we're sorry. So here's the deal:
For Windows Vista Beta 1, use the following product key: Q8WDJ-TR4KJ-X8WHM-GVGV3-H74C3 For Windows Vista Build 5219 (PDC CTP), use the following product key: GKFV7-F2D9H-QKYXY-777P3-4M73W If you are having problems activating either build, please try again tomorrow. We are replicating the needed changes as we speak, but at this point, not all the activation servers are updated.

Did you notice the date of that note? That note is probably irrelevant to Beta 2 since the older keys will not work with Beta 2.
Have you checked in the MSDN newsgroups?
